BACKGROUND: BACK POSITION PREVENTION
Studies show that snoring occurs more frequently in supine position than in lateral position. Especially in supine position, the lower jaw and tongue fall back. Thus, the tongue and soft tissue can block the upper respiratory tract.
PREVENTING BACK POSITION WITH SOMNOSHIRT® COMFORT SNORE SHIRT
The SomnoShirt® Comfort anti snore shirt prevents the patient from lying on his or her back during sleep and encourages the sleep on the side. The anti snore shirt is an inexpensive entry-level model for the correct sleeping position for patients suffering from positional snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. It is also called sleep apnea shirt or snoring t shirt.
FOR WHOM IS SOMNOSHIRT® COMFORT SUITABLE?
SomnoShirt® Comfort is suitable for patients with normal weight or slight overweight. If you are heavily overweight, we recommend our SomnoCushion® Pro positional sleep device against snoring and sleep apnoea, as it is more resilient.
SIZESThe anti snore shirt is available in the unisex sizes S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL. Note: The snore shirt should fit close to the body and therefore not be ordered too large.
COMPOSITION & MATERIAL
The high-quality, white t-shirt is made of 100 % pure cotton. In the back area a pocket is sewn on, which contains an individual, mouth inflatable air cushion. The air cushion is particularly suitable for travelling as it can be stowed away in a space-saving manner. Alternatively, we offer our SomnoShirt Standard anti snore shirt with an ultra-light hard foam roll.
In addition, we offer replacement shirts (without back insert) to change. You are welcome to order those by phone or e-mail.
Since positional therapy is accompanied by a training effect, most users no longer have to wear positioning aids every night after a few weeks, as the body gets used to sleeping on the side and the supine position is automatically avoided.
Are you looking for a cheaper alternative? Then our SomnoShirt Standard anti snore shirt is the right choice for you.
By the way: Positioning aids can also be used together with other anti snore devices, such as a CPAP mask or SomnoGuard mouth splints.
